Pies Over Cakes was founded August 25, 2009 in a tiny apartment on Hanover Avenue in the Fan. Though it was only operational for a third of the season, the business got a great start in 2009! The Byrd House Market graciously opened its doors to Pies Over Cakes, and we built some great relationships there. All in all, a fun and successful beginning for Pies Over Cakes.

At the end of the season, Pies Over Cakes moved to a house in the West End (with a slightly bigger kitchen) and got its very own full-sized refrigerator and storage cabinet.

In the 2010 season, Pies Over Cakes could be found at the Byrd House Market, the West End Farmers' Market, and The Market at St. Stephen's. At the end of a tough season, Pies Over Cakes went through some changes. With great joy, owner Arden Fidler became Mrs. Arden Stevens, and with great difficulty, decided to take a new job. Pies Over Cakes will not be participating in any markets in 2011.
