While you may still see me roaming the farmer's markets looking for a good local tomato or bouquet of gorgeous flowers, this season you will not see the Pies Over Cakes tent. I have decided to take some time off, work in "the real world", and help my family through some rough times. Hi Pie Fans!

POC had a great weekend at The Market at Saint Stephens, and will be spending the remaining summer Saturdays alternating between there and the West End Market. Check out our "Retail Locations" page to find out specific dates. We are also starting to sign up for specialty and holiday markets, so keep your eyes open for more updates on that!

This week at the Byrd House Market we will be featuring Blueberry, Blackberry, Peach and Apple pies, as well as a delicious new savory treat: Roasted Red Pepper Cheesecake! We'll also have the crowd-pleasing Hanover Tomato pies, a Richmond tradition!

Look for the same at the West End Market this coming Saturday, and don't forget to send in your specialty, Gluten-Free, Diabetes-Friendly, Vegan, or other requests if you have them!

Hey Friends!

Life IS peachy at POC this week. We'll be at the Byrd House Market on Tuesday afternoon with FRESH PEACH PIE! We just got a crate from our farm friends at Agriberry and the swoon-inducing smell of ripe peaches is overpowering the kitchen. We can't wait to break them down and serve them up whole and by the slice! We'll have gluten-free options with that as well.

Not forgetting our other fruity friends, we'll be back with the big hit of the season so far, our "Sugar-Free" Blueberry Pie. Don't be fooled, this pie is SWEEEEEEEEEETened with Stevia Extract in the Raw, and fantastic zero-calorie, low-glycemic (read: diabetes-friendly!) sweetener. You'll never know there's no sugar.

We'll also have Blackberry Pie, which has been baking up beautifully in a lattice crust. Check out our newest recipe for Apricot Blueberry as well, but you better get them while they last!

We've also cooked up a fresh new batch of Vegetarian Pot Pies made with local eggplant, green and golden zucchini, and onion, and of course organic carrot and celery. There's also FINALLY a Vegan version made with local potatoes in lieu of the cream sauce. Great for dinner! We'll have family sized Veggie Pies as well.

The point is, this is not the week to miss! Catch us at the West End Farmer's Market on Wednesday, too!
